Occupying the historic spot at the southeast corner of Coast Highway 101 and D Street in Encinitas, Vigilucci’s Trattoria is the building that, decades ago, housed the Encinitas Hotel along with Claydon’s and John Sturdinvant’s old-fashioned soda fountains. Open for nearly two decades, Vigilucci’s Trattoria, with its largely Italian staff, is not only a favorite of North County diners, but also Italians across the county who liken the fare to that served in Italy. A favorite among locals is our dog-friendly patio, a great place to watch passers-by in vibrant downtown Encinitas.
